In the Costa del Sol region, real estate plays a key role in shaping the community. Among the many contributors to this vibrant industry, ConceptHomes stands out not only for its presence as a real estate developer but also for its unwavering commitment to social giving back. Through its active participation in the Building The Future Foundation, ConceptHomes has exemplified the spirit of solidarity and corporate social responsibility.
Building The Future: A Noble Initiative
The Building The Future Foundation is a remarkable initiative that brings together real estate professionals on the Costa del Sol to support worthy causes. As stated by the driving force behind the foundation, José Carlos León, the goal is to help the less fortunate and give children a chance in life. Inspired by the humanitarian efforts of María José Jiménez, who helped children in Uganda, José Carlos initiated the Padel Solidarity Tournament, which has since become an important charity event.
IV Solidarity Paddle Tournament
The IV Solidarity Paddle Tennis Tournament, a central event for the foundation, had the overwhelming support of more than 140 companies, raising more than 100,000€. The funds raised went to various local and international causes, including:
ASPANDEM: €6,000 to support more than 600 families with members who have disabilities.
CRECE Association: €6,000 to help individuals with special educational needs.
Club Deportivo Marbella Juega: €6,000 to promote adapted sports for people with disabilities.
Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer: €6,000 to improve housing for children diagnosed with cancer.
WEFO Association in Uganda: A considerable sum of €60,000 to improve the Rwenzori Focus School, benefiting more than 320 students.
Humanitarian Efforts for Ukrainian Refugees
In addition to its local and African initiatives, Building The Future has been proactive in helping Ukrainian refugees. In collaboration with others, the foundation has helped find foster homes, school places and jobs for families displaced by the conflict. A significant part of the €65,000 raised in this effort went towards the construction of a third pavilion in Uganda and the support of local associations such as Avoi, Cadi, Debra Butterfly Skin and Fuensocial.
Achievements over the years
The foundation’s track record is impressive. In 2021, they built a new building with four classrooms in Uganda, significantly improving the educational environment for primary school children. In 2019, they rebuilt a school pavilion destroyed by torrential rains, adding essential facilities such as a rainwater tank, solar panels and proper sanitation.
ConceptHomes: More than Real Estate
